Oil painting of Mary holding baby Jesus.  The whole piece is wrapped in warm tones-soft gold, gentle reds, and that glowing light that feels like it’s coming from within the moment itself.  As I painted, I kept thinking about the tenderness of this scene: a mother holding her child, the quiet strength, the holiness woven into something so intimate and human.
